Elyse Walker's Amazing Home

Rosetta Getty Minimalist Chic

"I am drawn to beautiful, elegant clothes, but with a slight tomboy edge. I need pieces that can transition from a busy morning running errands to an evening cocktail event. This need for duality is a core concept when designing the collection."

"My days are non-stop from morning design meetings to evening events. I never have time to go home and change, which is why transitional pieces are such an essential part of the collection. Take the silk shirt dress – you can wear it buttoned up with flats for day, then come cocktail hour undo a couple buttons and add a striking clutch for an evening appropriate look."

"The woman I have in mind [for my collection] is both modern and ageless – she appreciates design, but does not live and breathe fashion trends. She is me and women like me: busy career women, mothers who multi-task and need a wardrobe that fits seamlessly into their lives."

"I think my shoes would say they’re tired! They are always running around town and around the world really, with all the things I have going on."
"My beauty routine is very simple. When I wake up in the morning I wash my face with soap and use a La Mér moisturizer. Before going to bed I wash my face again and use the same moisturizer and a Rodin body oil."

"I went to Dharamsala in the Himalayas to meet the Dali Lama. He told me love is the absence of judgment and that’s something that has always stuck with me."

"The five things every woman should have in her closet are:
1. A flattering pair of black trousers. They are a closet staple and can be easily paired with anything in a woman’s wardrobe.
2. An elegant shirtdress.
3. A great coat; our Rosetta Getty bathrobe coat will be my go to this winter.
4. A comfortable flat shoe; anything from loafers to chic slippers.
5. Button down cotton poplin shirts; I am always on the quest for one and we make sure to incorporate shirting into the collection every season."
